On May 27, RAIN and Kim Ha Neul made headlines after they were officially announced as the lead stars of "Scandal of Hwain Family." An original series under Disney+, it follows the story of a woman with high aspirations in life.
Oh Wan Soo is played by Kim Ha Neul, who exudes perfection both in career and love. Besides being the country's top-notch golder, she also became the chairman of a foundation after she tied the knot with Hwain Group's heir.
On the other hand, RAIN plays as a police officer, Seo Do Yoon, who is assigned to be Wan Soo's bodyguard.

While "The World of the Married," and more K-dramas gained popularity because of its bold plot, the audience appears undecided to watch "Scandal of Hwain Family."
According to an outlet, viewers expressed their dismay with another cliché story. It appears like the public is getting tired of the usual storyline involving marital affairs and chaebol families.
In a post, one user raised concern, questioning, "Why are there so many plots about affairs lately?"
Moreover, someone pointed out that these types of dramas are "overdone" but would still watch them because of Kim Ha Neul and RAIN.
Others also mentioned that recent K-dramas often center around chaebols or a multi-million conglomerate run and controlled by an individual or family.
On the other hand, some are hopeful about the upcoming K-drama and need to wait for the premiere to judge whether they would continue to watch or ditch it.
