Now that a new series is about to occupy the weekend primetime slot, many are already expecting that lead stars Lee Junho and YoonA will make history with "King the Land."

The Rom-com series "King the Land" follows the story of Gu Won, the heir of luxury hotel conglomerate The King Group who despises laughter, and Cheon Sa Rang, a hotelier who always has a smile on her face due to the nature of her work.

Starring two of the most influential stars in the K-drama world, this drama will make the viewers' eyes glued to their screens.

Lee Junho & YoonA Predicted to Make History With 'King the Land'

Lee Junho, who won multiple big titles such as Top Excellence Awards, Best Actor, and Best Couple for his drama "The Red Sleeve," challenges himself to showcase a new image with his upcoming character as a chaebol heir.

Lim YoonA, who portrayed Go Mi Ho in "Big Mouth," contributed greatly to the highest viewership rating of 13.7 percent. She also bagged the Top Excellence Award and Best Couple Award at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards and established herself as a full-fledged actress.

She is ready to secure another good performance as she takes the role of King Hotel's Smile Queen, Cheon Sa Rang.

"King the Land" is considered one of the most anticipated works in 2023 due to Lee Junho and Yoona's participation alone. Apart from the duo, the irreplaceable casting of Kim Ga Eun, Go Won Hee, Ahn Se Ha, and Kim Jae Won as well as the drama's story raised viewers' expectations to the fullest.

Attention is focused on whether this project will be able to make history and change the list of JTBC's highest-rated dramas.

As of this writing, the series that marked a new record in JTBC's highest-rated dramas is Uhm Jung Hwa's "Doctor Cha," which scored an average rating of 18.5 percent and became the fourth highest-rated series in JTBC's history.

"The World of the Married" still holds the highest-rated drama with 28.4 percent. Song Joong Ki's "Reborn Rich" came second, which concluded with a 26.9 percent rating, and "SKY Castle" ranked third with 23.7 percent.

"King the Land" is set to land on the weekend primetime starting this June 17 on JTBC and Netflix.
