Starring YoonA and Lee Junho, JTBC's upcoming rom-com drama "King the Land" officially concluded filming, according to a media report on June 6. The production and the cast began filming in September 2022, meaning it was a nine-month journey. 

After completion, the cast is finally ready to meet the viewers on June 17.

New episodes will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. (KST).

What to Anticipate from 'King the Land'

"King the Land" will feature the story of the chaebol heir, Gu Won, who despises laughter; and Cheon Sa Rang, a bright hotelier at the King Hotel.

Lee Junho and YoonA's onscreen chemistry, which has already garnered attention since the casting stage, is one of the things that fans look forward to. The series has a wider reach as it will be released also on the online streaming giant Netflix.

Adding to the list are the new and old faces of stars who are set to appear in the drama.

'King the Land' Expected to Continue JTBC's Success

Currently, "King the Land" is scheduled as the follow-up series to the trending drama "Doctor Cha." The two lead stars, YoonA and Lee Junho, are expected to continue the success achieved by Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul.

It has been said that JTBC's weekend dramas have consistently become hits, starting with Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min's "Reborn Rich," followed by Lee Bo Young's "Agency," and the newly-concluded medical series "Doctor Cha," starring Uhm Jung Hwa.

In particular, "Reborn Rich" garnered a 26.9 percent rating nationwide, its highest rating. "Doctor Cha," on the other hand, also received double-digit ratings and ended with an 18.5 percent viewership rating.

With a completely new genre, "King the Land" is highly-anticipated as it has a high chance to continue JTBC's success.
