The wait is finally over as Netflix's original military drama "D.P." starring Jung Hae In, Koo Kyo Hwan and more announced the release of its second season.

"D.P.," which was initially released in 2021, is among the fan-favorite works in multiple countries including South Korea, Brazil, Brunei and more.

The Netflix series returns with its newest installment this summer.

'D.P.' Season 2 To Premiere In July

Since its production announcement in 2021, fans couldn't hide their excitement for the second season of "D.P."

The military action drama stars Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan, and it follows the Korean military police as they carry out their mission of catching deserters.

During the initial run of Season 1, Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan dominated the Hallyu scene for weeks all thanks to their flawless synergy and impeccable performances.

On June 20, the production unit of "D.P." announced that Season 2, which had been in the works for years, will now greet the viewers this summer.

The new installment centers on Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan's characters and their journey as they encounter unchanging realities, heartaches and disappointments in their brand new mission.

In particular, the addition of Ji Jin Hee and Kim Ji Hyun is also one of the factors to look forward to in the series. "D.P." Season 2 is slated to hit the screen on July 28 on Netflix so don't miss it.

The original Netflix series "D.P." was selected as one of the Best International TV Shows by the New York Times in 2021.

It was also awarded the Best Picture Award in the Television category at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards and 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards.
