IU Outshines Song Hye Kyo as the Most Searched Korean Actress
With new and returning stars this year, K-wave continues to pique the public's interest with show-stopping and interesting contents.
As for Google Search's Top 10 Most Searched Korean Actresses in the first half of 2023, Song Hye Kyo ranked third, while IU took the top spot.

To recall, the 41-year-old star sparked a huge buzz for her performance in "The Glory." Although this was her first time doing a revenge drama, viewers witnessed Song Hye Kyo's versatility is as she played as Moon Dong Eun.
The success of the series continued with another season, with the original cast members reprising their roles.
On top of it, Song Hye Kyo took home the Best Actress trophy at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2023, as well as "The Glory" and Lim Ji Yeon as Best Drama and Best Supporting Actress.
However, with IU taking on the top spot as the Most Searched Korean Actress of 2023, others believe that the singer-actress is more popular with the younger generation while the Hallyu queen is more well-known with the older generation and traditional Korean media.
