What makes a beautifully written K-Drama even more fantastic than an exciting surprise from fan-favorite actors making a special appearance? In the first half of 2023, hundreds of top-notch actors have made cameos in various high scale dramas.

From January to June, every K-Drama fan has enjoyed pointing out every familiar face in the cast ensemble. With that, here are four actors who made unforgettable cameos in popular works this 2023.

Jo Bo Ah

Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon and Kim Bum's "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938" made sure to close the curtains on a happy note as Season 1 actress Jo Bo Ah made a surprise appearance.

The work follows Lee Dong Wook's journey as he finds ways to return back to the present time after being stuck in the year 1938 due to a curse.

Flashbacks with Jo Bo Ah had been shown in the first episodes which garnered attention. With the great feedback it received, the actress agreed to make a brief cameo to show her love for the work, free of charge!

At the end of the episode, Jo Bo Ah reunites with Lee Dong Wook much to fans' delight. The series even received its personal best in terms of viewership ratings.

Moon Ga Young

Like Jo Bo Ah, Moon Ga Young showed her loyalty to her close friend Kim Dong Wook after she agreed to briefly participate in the crime drama "Delightfully Deceitful."

To recall, Moon Ga Young and Kim Dong Wook worked together in the hit series "Find Me In Your Memory," which was directed by Lee Soo Hyun who also picked up the megaphone for the new drama.

In the work, Moon Ga Young played a high-ranking figure who decides the outcome of a mission planned by Kim Dong Wook and Chun Woo Hee's characters.

The actress captivated the public with her unrivaled visuals and charisma, and impressive German-speaking skills.

Lee Bo Young

Seasoned actress Lee Bo Young made a special appearance in "See You In My 19th Life" to show her gratitude to director Lee Na Jung whom she worked with before in "Mine."

In the series, she played Ahn Bo Hyun's terminally ill mother and expressed the agony and pain of not wanting to part with her child.

Lee Bo Young successfully delivered an emotional performance which tugged at the heart strings of every viewer. In particular, her timeless beauty also didn't go unnoticed by avid fans.

Chae Jong Hyeop

Another cameo star in "See You In My 19th Life" was Chae Jong Hyeop. He attracted attention after he transformed into Bok Dong Yi, the 16th life of Ban Ji Eum, played by Shin Hye Sun.

Since the drama revolves around Shin Hye Sun's present and past lives, Chae Jong Hyeop has appeared briefly in every episode, leaving fans wanting for more.

In the work, Bok Dong Yi is a rickshaw puller in the Japanese colonial era. According to Chae Jong Hyeop, he was offered to make a brief appearance and he accepted it with no hesitation.

The actor also hints at the viewers that his narrative is yet to unfold, raising anticipation for his performance in the final two weeks of the drama.
