‘Squid Game’ Season 2 Responds to Claims of Rude Behavior on Set
The production team behind "Squid Game" season 2 addressed the controversy surrounding their filming at the airport.
The highly-anticipated Netflix K-drama once again garnered attention after an anonymous user took to online communities to express their disappointment following an interaction with a staff member.
'Squid Game' Season 2 Staff Accused of Being Rude to Public During Filming
As mentioned by outlets, the post includes the user's complaint about how the production staff "rudely" blocked people from using the public escalator at the Incheon International Airport.
Accusing the staff of "abuse of power," the netizen claimed that a staff member stopped them from using the escalator using a commanding tone.
"If you have caused damage to Incheon Airport users, shouldn't you have been polite and said that you were sorry because you were filming and asked for your understanding?"

Shortly after the post spread in various online communities and media, "Squid Game" season 2 producers expressed their apologies regarding the airport incident.
'Squid Game' Season 2 Producers Respond to Controversy
As obtained by a media outlet, they acknowledged the "citizen's discomfort during filming for Season 2 of 'Squid Game' at Incheon International Airport on July 10," and apologized for making the person feel that way.
"While we tried our best to inform citizens in detail about the on-site situation during the shoot, we apologize for the fact that we made people uncomfortable."
Despite the setback, "Squid Game" season 2 "sincerely thanks the citizens who understood" their protocols during filming but promised to "be even more careful during filming in the future."
'Squid Game' Season 2 Casting Controversy
Besides the airport incident, the upcoming Netflix series is facing backlash due to its casting lineup.
Back in June, the streaming giant officially confirmed the actors who would join the series. Apart from Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun, who were initially revealed to be reprising their roles, Wi Ha Joon and Gong Yoo will also return for the sequel.
In addition, Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun were also introduced.
At the time, viewers accused Netflix of only focusing on top stars and male actors, but the streaming giant hinted that they would introduce more cast members.
Lo and behold, Netflix dropped another teaser, introducing eight additional cast members. "Sweet Home" cast members Lee Jin Wook and Park Gyu Young will also join the show.
In addition, Jo Yu Ri, Won Ji An, Noh Jae Won, David Lee, Kang Ae Shim, and Choi Seung Hyun (former BIGBANG T.O.P), are also included.
However, rumors sparked that the K-pop star was included as an official cast member because of his connection with Lee Jung Jae. The actor's agency quickly denied the rumor and mentioned that he and Lee Jung Jae have not seen each other for quite some time.
