Kim Seon Ho Reveals True Feelings About Being Called K-drama’s ‘Good Boy’

Kim Seon Ho made his fans' hearts flutter as he returned to the Philippines for his second fan meet.

Before meeting Filipino Seonhohadas, the K-drama heartthrob attended a press conference as he spoke about his plans in show business, and travelling to the country again for the "Love to Meet Our Good Boy" event.

Kim Seon Ho on Being Called 'Good Boy' by Fans

As mentioned by CNN Philippines, Kim Seon Ho was grateful for his return as well as the support and love from his Filipino fans. To recall, his first visit was in January 2023, for the "One, Two, Three. Smile" Asia tour fan meet.

The 37-year-old actor mesmerized fans with hit K-dramas like "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" and Start-Up," where he got the moniker "good boy."

Speaking of the nickname, Kim Seon Ho was also asked about how he truly feels being called K-drama's "good boy." He said that it's a term that the elderly people use to describe a young, innocent man who has a pure and naive aura, similar to that of a good boy.

"So it actually describes the internal character of a person who is kind and pure-hearted," he said, as obtained by the same outlet.

As for his true feelings being called by such a wonderful term, he revealed how it makes him feel "emotional" just by hearing it.

"Since I was really into the character, when I hear the term 'Good Boy,' it really makes me emotional as well," he explained.

According to Kim Seon Ho, it usually takes him two to three months to prepare for his character. It includes the physical and emotional parts of jumping into a different role and embodying the character's personality.

"There are a lot of characters; there's so much versatility to a lot of characters, but the character starts with me," he said.

Moreover, he also compared it to a piece of clothing and how it suits every person.

"Just like clothing, if someone wears it, it's kind of a different look and style from when I wear it. That's how I see my individuality in the character," he said.

As the press conference continues, the 37-year-old star also discussed his hit K-drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," where he played the role of the neighborhood's handyman, Hong Du Sik.

According to him, it's the character who has the same similarity to him in real life.

For Kim Seon Ho, he loves having conversations with people in a happy and light environment, adding that he likes having scenes featuring the "most ordinary and most approaching people."

The South Korean star also pointed out that he "really appreciates and finds special the scenes where I'm having conversations and showing people my ordinary side."

Besides his Asian tour, Kim Seon Ho continues to make headlines after his debut movie "The Childe" received a positive response from viewers worldwide.

In the review-aggregation website for film and television, Rotten Tomatoes, the action-noir film, garnered 100 tomatometers, or the percentage that represents positive professional critic reviews, while 97 percent for the audience score.
