Jung Eunji has been cast to star in the upcoming fantasy-romance series "The Woman of Different Day and Night," opposite top-notch actor Choi Jin Hyuk.

The new K-drama marks the singer-actress' first-ever main acting project in years, and her first-ever take on the fantasy genre.

Jung Eunji Returns With New Fantasy-Romance Drama

On August 1, media outlets reported that singer-actress Jung Eunji returns to the limelight as she headlines a brand new rom-com drama.

In "The Woman of Different Day and Night" (working title), she is a young woman looking for a job who one night wakes up as her aunt who's thrice as old as her.

Jung Eunji plays as Lee Mi Jin, a 20-something job-seeker who becomes a jack of all trades as she works every part-time job available in her area. Her life changes drastically when she swaps bodies with Lim Soon, played by Lee Jung Eun, her workaholic aunt.

Meanwhile, Choi Jin Hyuk transforms into Gye Ji Woong, a stoic corporate man who doesn't tolerate any mistakes when it comes to work.

With only its premise, fans' excitement is already through the roof. The three seasoned actors are expected to deliver a feel-good drama that also offers entertainment and comfort to its viewers.

Fans took their anticipation to social media. One said, "The drama is already exciting. I can't wait for Jung Eunji's return."

Earlier this 2023, the singer-actress made her first comeback after reprising her role in the smash hit series "Work Later, Drink Now" with Lee Sun Bin and Han Sun Hwa.

'The Woman of Different Day and Night' Further Details

The upcoming series is predicted to become a big hit as it pools the best producers in Hallyu.

"The Woman of Different Day and Night" will be directed by "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" director Lee Hyung Min and penned by "Good Casting" screenwriter Park Ji Ha.
