Because he's not picky with his roles, he has widened his acting filmography in no time. Jo Byung Gyu's first ever acting role was named after him, Byung Gyu, in the drama "Who Are You: School 2015."

2. 'SKY Castle' remains his favorite drama.

In 2019, Jo Byung Gyu joined the cast of the satirical series "SKY Castle" where he played the assertive son of Kim Byung Chul and Yoon Se Ah's characters.

In the series, he has a twin who is played by Kim Dong Hee and an older sister played by Park Yoo Na. With the drama's success, the cast was treated to a trip to Thailand. Because of this, "SKY Castle" became Jo Byung Gyu's most memorable drama yet.

3. Jo Byung Gyu is a huge soccer guy.

When he flew to New Zealand to study, Jo Byung Gyu fell in love with soccer.

The actor became a soccer player during his stay in the foreign country. However, he focused on running instead as he doesn't like "hurting" others by pushing them, since soccer is a contact sport.

In 2019, Jo Byung Gyu and Kim Bo Ra were confirmed to be in a relationship. Before that, their "SKY Castle" co-star Park Yoo Na shared a funny anecdote about the two.

During their reward vacation in Thailand, the two kept disappearing together at the same time. In an interview, the couple confessed that they developed feelings for one another during filming.

Unfortunately, Jo Byung Gyu and Kim Bo Ra broke up in August of 2020, after over a year of dating.
