Lee Do Hyun Enlistment: Actor Delivers Heartfelt Message to Fans Ahead of Military Service

Lee Do Hyun is gearing up for his enlistment after his agency announced the date of his military service.

Following the rumors regarding the actor's enlistment, his label, Yuehua Entertainment, released a statement confirming the actor's upcoming activity. 

Lee Do Hyun Enlistment Date

As mentioned by Lee Do Hyun's agency, he will officially enlist on August 14 and set out to "fulfill his military duty through ROKAF's (Republic of Korea Air Force) military band."

With this, Yuehua Entertainment asked fans "to refrain from visiting" the area since this is also a "private event that numerous military personnel and family members will be attending.

Following the announcement, the South Korean hearthrob expressed his thoughts about the upcoming enlistment through a heartwarming letter to fans posted on his fan cafe. 

Lee Do Hyun Promises to Be a Better Version of Himself When He Returns

Ahead of his enlistment, Lee Do Hyun didn't forget to talk to his fans, who have supported him since his debut.

Posted on August 7, he said that he wrote the letter before his fan meet.

The actor continued and mentioned the "overwhelming love" from fans that he couldn't even imagine.

"Even though I am still lacking, thank you for making me enjoy acting more and helping me stand firm by my side," he added, as obtained by a media outlet.

The actor recalled how he used to dream of acting, "shooting scenes, attending award ceremonies, receiving awards, meeting fans in person, communicating, and holding fan meetings," and those were fulfilled with the support of everyone around him.

Lastly, he mentioned that he would not be Lee Do Hyun without the fans' "infinite support, love, and encouragement" and promised to return as a better individual by adapting, and training diligently in the military.

 "Now I'm about to enter the military. I will go and return as a cooler person, a healthier individual, and a better actor," he wrote in his fan cafe.

Lee Do Hyun's K-dramas Defore Enlistment

Known for his roles in "Hotel Del Luna," "18 Again," and "Sweet Home," Lee Do Hyun showcased his versatile acting after headlining the back-to-back melodramas "Youth of May" and tvN's "Melancholia."

Interestingly, he once again showcased his wide range of acting skills after joining the cast of "The Glory" together with Song Hye Kyo and Lim Ji Yeon. Taking on the role of pastic surgeon Joo Yeo Jung, who becomes one of the allies of Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) for her revenge.

After the success of "The Glory," where Lee Do Hyun also became a part of season 2, the 28-year-old actor starred in yet another hit K-drama. 

Playing the role of cold-hearted prosecutor Choi Kang Ho, he worked alongside award winning actress Ran Mi Ran as his mother in "The Good Bad Mother." This is Lee Do Hyun's last K-drama before enlisting in the military.
