Han Hyo Joo Addresses Plastic Surgery Rumors : ‘I didn’t have double eyelids in middle school’
Han Hyo Joo opened up about being accused of getting plastic surgery.
The actress didn't escape the prying eyes of the media and public after rumors circulated that she had had double eyelid surgery.
During her appearance on the Youtube channel "VIVO TV," Han Hyo Joo appeared as a guest along with "Moving" co-star Ryu Seung Ryeong. In the interview, the actress couldn't help but talk about the rumors surrounding her.
Han Hyo Joo on Plastic Surgery Rumors
The 36-year-old actress graced the interview with minimal makeup, showing off her natural beauty.
During the interview, obtained by a ⁷media outlet, host Song Eun Yi showed a graduation photo of Han Hyo Joo, pointing out her amazing visuals.
When asked if she would prefer receiving a compliment about her looks over acting, the actress chose both and talked about how her physical appearance changed through the years.
"I had single eyelids when I was in middle school, but after entering high school, I developed double eyelids. That's how my current face was formed," she said, referring to her puberty or when a person goes through physical changes as he or she gets older.

Because of it, Han Hyo Joo said that she was accused of going under the knife and having her face done.
"As I get older, my double eyelids can be seen more clearly. Some days, I even have 5 eyelids. However, there are still plastic surgery suspicions," she shared, finally dismissing rumors about Han Hyo Joo's plastic surgery issue.
Besides the "Happiness" star, several actresses have been accused of going under the knife. Among them is "Alchemy of Souls" star Go Yoon Jung, whose pre-debut photo circulated on the internet.
In addition, Kim Sejeong was once rumored to have had double eyelid surgery, and was criticized because it was "poorly done."
Han Hyo Joo's New Drama 'Moving'
Her appearance with Ryu Seung Ryeong comes ahead of the official release of her K-drama comeback, "Moving."
Han Hyo Joo headlines alongside Jo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, Ryu Seung Ryeong, Kim Sung Kyun, Kim Hee Won, Lee Jung Ha, Kim Do Hoon, and Go Yoon Jung.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Moving" focuses on a group of teenagers with superhuman abilities that they inherited from their parents. They eventually teamed up to fight against dark forces.
In the upcoming K-drama, Han Hyo Joo takes on the role of Lee Mi Hyun. She used to be a secret agent, working under the Ministry of Security. Interestingly, she has superhuman senses, which she passed on to her child.
"Moving" is slated to premiere on August 9, airing every Wednesday through Hulu and Disney+.
