Expressing his gratitude to the viewers and fans who supported the first season, Director Han said he had to "contemplate" how he could "bring this story forward even one step."

As seen in "D.P." season 2, viewers witnessed the heartbreaking stories of soldiers who experienced harassment and bullying within the military.

One remarkable scene was with private soldier Kim Ru Ri, played by Moon Sang Hoon. He opened fire on his colleagues after being pushed to his limits and victmized by his superiors. Because of his rank, he couldn't do anything about it but had to deal with it by himself.

Unfortunately, it led him to kill several colleagues and go into hiding as he planned to expose the military.

According to the "D.P." season 2 director, he didn't want the soldiers to look like a vicious perpetrator or a victim.

"I didn't want to portray any of the enlisted soldiers, who were drafted into the military, as consistent perpetrators or consistent victims," he said, and discussed about the Kim Ru Ri scene.

"I didn't want to make the characters themselves be just absolutely evil or just unconditionally pitiful. They are all people in their early 20s who joined the military due to the conscription system," the director explained, adding that there are two sides to the story.

However, Han Jun Hee is hopeful that "D.P." season 3 will get the green light, but at this moment, it's unclear.
