Only a few know that before Jung Hae In entered the glamorous industry of showbiz, he originally wanted to build a career in the medical field. The actor planned to major in biotechnology under the influence of his parents, who are successful doctors.

With a sudden turn of events, Jung Hae In's future changed.

According to a source, the celebrity happened to receive the contact information of an agency official while on his way to COEX with his friends after the CSAT.

Later on, he attended an acting academy for a month before passing Pyeongtaek University's Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment.

Due to this, Jung Hae In decided to give up on his dream of becoming a doctor and navigated a new path.

The K-drama leading man did not have a smooth-sailing journey in pursuing entertainment. The "Tune in For Love" star mentioned in a past interview that he used to be a chubby person during his middle and high school days.

He also gained 12kg in a short period as his appetite grew. It was also mentioned that the celebrity ate an entire box of Choco Pie on the spot.

Since Jung Hae In was very determined to be an actor, he went on a strict diet and established a mindset of "If I can't do this, I won't act." Since then, he has controlled his diet and consistently does exercise.

Ahead of his official debut, the "One Spring Night" lead star appeared in AOA's music video "MOYA" in 2013.

The following year, he finally debuted in the series "Bride of the Century."

His name started to gain attention from the public after he made a special appearance in the 2016 hit K-drama "Goblin."

In 2017, he starred in tvN's "Prison Playbook," where he portrayed the role of Captain Yoo Jeong Woo. Even though it was a supporting role, his expressions and brilliant acting received enthusiastic responses from the viewers.

A big break happened in his career in 2018 when he led the romance series "Something in the Rain," where he teamed up with Hallyu superstar Son Ye Jin.

Jung Hae In gained greater recognition after headlining MBC's "One Spring Night," "Snowdrop," and Netflix's "D.P."
