Jung Hae In Grateful to Work on Netflix's 'D.P'

Jung Hae In is famously one of the busiest K-stars today, after the release of his Netflix series, the actor just started completing his fan meeting tour in Asia. 

The K-heartthrob just made his small screen return through the second installment of the military-themed drama "D.P." 

He reprised the role of Ahn Jun Ho and reunited with Han Ho Yeol (Koo Kyo Hwan), the duo in the Deserter Pursuit unit, who is in charge of tracking down South Korean men who attempt to escape required military service.

In an interview with the drama's cast members, the main protagonist, Jung Hae In shared his experiences working on "D.P." Season 2. He expressed that he felt more dark emotions for the second book as it required heavier scenes. 

But no matter how challenging the project was, he was thankful for all the opportunities and people he met. 

Jung Hae In Expresses His Desire To Do Melodramas Again

"D.P." is a work that gave me confidence. Thanks to the military material, I gained many male fans. There were quite a few men who came to my fan meeting after watching 'D.P.', and there were even those who came alone. It feels like I'm getting farther and farther away from melodramas."

With that being said, Jung Hae In expressed his interest in returning to melodramas, a lighter and easy-to-digest genre. 

He continued, "It was a natural flow rather than intentionally choosing a genre. I think it's time to work on a melodrama again. I have a desire to show bright acting now."

Even though there are no confirmed romance genre projects yet for the actor, fans were delighted to know that they might finally see Jung Hae In again in melodramas sooner. 

Jung Hae In is loved for his past works such as "Something in the Rain," "One Spring Night," "Prison Playbook," "While You Were Sleeping," and more. 

On the other hand, the K-drama leading man celebrated his 10th debut anniversary this 2023. 

He praised his colleagues who have been in the industry for years, "I think a lot of seniors who act for a long time without a break are amazing. It seems that I need to take good care of my mental and physical health. Looking at the fans who filled the fan meeting venue, I pledged, 'The reason I'm loved is because of acting, not anything else. That's why I'll do my best in acting."
