In the latest report, Nielsen Korea recorded steady ratings for "My Dearest" episode 4.
The historical K-drama experienced a slight dip in viewership, yet maintained a 5.2 percent rating.
Interestingly, viewers will get to see "My Dearest" episode 5 on August 18 through MBC, Kocowa, and Viu.
'My Dearest' Episode 4: Namgoong Min Saves Ahn Eun Jin
In "My Dearest" Episode 4, the scene continued during the attack by the foreign introducers. The majority of the soldiers died, including Kong Soon Rak, who is the fiancé of Yoo Gil Chae. Nam Yeon Jun was devastated to see him die after saving him from their enemies.
Despite this, Nam Yeon Jun promised to continue his mission and to save the King.
Meanwhile, Lee Jang Hyuk and his men went on a different route because he was not interested in saving His Majesty.
However, he predicted that the foreign intruders were not after power but money and women.

On the other hand, Yoo Gil Chae, along with others, were praying for the safety of their men. Looking at the mountains, she saw a black smoke coming from the direction that Lee Jang Hyuk had warned her about.
Recalling what he said, Gil Chae warned the elders about it. Everyone quickly packed their bags and fled the town.
Just in the nick of time, the foreign intruders came to the village. However, they were attacked by Grandpa Song Gu, who wanted to stay in their village and protect their town.
Meanwhile, his wife, who was hiding at the hut near him, tried to save him from the enemy but was killed by one of them. The same went for Grandpa Song Gu, who was killed by the leader.
At this point, the foreign introducers invaded the vicinity and killed some of the locals, including those who tried to escape using the boat.
As for Yoo Gil Chae, she found another route to escape. Along with her are her courtlady, a pregnant woman, and Lady Kyung Eun Ae.
During this time, the trio hid near the caves to prevent the intuders from seeing them. However, the leader spotted them and chased after them.
Thankfully, Lee Jang Hyuk managed to save them from the attacks.
According to him, he was not after saving the king but to avenge Grandpa Song Gu's death.
