THIS ‘Money Heist: Korea’ Star Joins Star-Studded Cast of ‘Queen of Tears’
Jang Yoon Joo is set to return to the small screen after officially joining the star-studded K-drama, "Queen of Tears."
Following her scene-stealing performance in "Money Heist: Korea," the model-actress continues to amaze viewers with her acting prowess as she lands an interesting role in the upcoming series.
Jang Yoon Joo Joins 'Queen of Tears'
According to reports, the 42-year-old beauty officially accepted the offer to play one of the supporting characters.
As for her character, officials are yet to reveal Jang Yoon Ju's new role.
In an exclusive report cited by SPOTV News, she will be working alongside Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, who will headline the upcoming series.
In addition, notable stars like Park Sung Hoon from "The Glory," Kwak Dong Yeon from "Big Mouth," and Kim Joo Ryeong from "Squid Game" will be joining the forthcoming K-drama.
In addition, she will also be reunited with "Money Heist: Korea" co-star Lee Joo Bin, who will play the role of Kwang Dong Yeon's wife.
Following the announcement of an additional cast lineup, the highly anticipated K-drama is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2024.
The Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won-led K-drama is helmed by the renowned directors Kim Hee Won of "Vincenzo" and Jang Young Woo, who is the genius behind "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls."

Moreover, "Queen of Tears" is penned by Park Ji Eun, who also wrote the hit K-dramas, "Crash Landing on You," "The Legend of the Blue Sea" and "My Love from the Star."
From Top Model to Actress
As mentioned, Jang Yoon Joo was known in the fashion industry as one of the top models in the country and hosted several seasons of "Korea's Next Top Model."
In addition, she also received favorable comments after joining the hit remake, "Money Heist: Korea."
In the two-part series, Jangb Yoon Joo took on the role of Nairobi, which was originally played by Spanish actress Alba Flores.
In an interview, obtained by a local news outlet, the model-actress said that she was
"glad to take on the role."
According to her, playing Nairobi was the only role in which she got to wear makeup out of all her previous characters.
"I thought that this time, I should really employ the strengths I developed through my modeling work as well as the image I've built up throughout my career," she said, adding that he exerted a lot of effort in terms of styling, outfits, hair, and makeup.
"[Nairobi] is a sexy female character, so I had fun the whole time I was shooting, more than I had with any other character," Jang Yoon Jung furthered.
Besides "Money Heist: Korea," she also joined the cast of "Veteran" parts 1 and 2, as well as the drama movie "Three Sisters" with Moon So Ri and Kim Sun Young.
