Ryu Seung Ryong Sees ‘Miracle in Cell No 7’ Star Gal So Won as His ‘Real Daughter’
Ryu Seung Ryong went emotional as he talked about his "Miracle in Cell No. 7" co-star Gal So Won.
The South Korean star gained global fame after landing a remarkable character, Lee Yong Gu, a mentally-challenged father who went to prison due to false accusations.
Then-child star Gal So Won took on the role of young Lee Ye Seung, who secretly lived with his father along with his cellmates.
A decade after the show was aired, Ryu Seung Ryong shared how he remained close with the former child star, who is now a beautiful young lady.
Ryu Seung Ryong Shows Affection to Gal So Won + Says She Deserves a Luxury Bag
During his interview in "Salon Drip" season 2, together with "Moving" co-star Go Yoon Jung, the 52-year-old actor showed his affection towards his on-screen daughter, Gal So Won.
According to the actor, he meets the actress once a year in Jeju, where she now resides. Interestingly, Ryu Seung Ryong's family is close to the actress' family and would visit to catch up and have a nice meal.
"Even my maternal uncle, aunt, and grandmother are all close friends," he added, sharing how he treats the former child star as his family.

As the interview continues, Ryu Seung Ryong couldn't help but get emotional as he talked about how "special" Gal So Won is to him.
"Seeing her when she was 6 years old, she's like a real daughter," she said, and he mentioned how he would surprise her whenever he visited Jeju.
"After that, I give her a bag as a gift every time she enters elementary school, middle school, or high school," he furthered, and joked that it's time for him to give her a luxury bag.
On Ryu Seung Ryong's Instagram, he shared a recent picture of him and the former child star while he was on Jeju Island. Fans also wrote in the comments section that they hope to see them in a drama someday.
Meanwhile, Ryu Seung Ryong is currently starring in Disney+'s series "Moving."

After the background story of Jo In Sung and Han Hyo Joo, who played as Kim Doo Shik and Lee Mi Hyun, the webtoon-based K-drama depicts the story of Jang Joo Won, played by Ryu Seung Ryong, in episodes 10 and 11.
The sci-fi mystery K-drama features his story before becoming a secret agent.
In addition, it also shows how he met Jang Hee Soo's (Go Yoon Jung) mother, Hwang Ji Hee, played by Kwak Sun Young.
