On August 25, Ahn Jae Hong revealed his secrets as one of the scene-stealers in Netflix's "Mask Girl." He impressed the public with his "incel" persona in the series which focuses on an office worker who becomes a masked broadcast jockey.
Nana, Go Hyun Jung and Lee Han Byul, all portrayed Kim Mo Mi who becomes the prime suspect in a cold murder case. Meanwhile, Ahn Jae Hong transformed into Joo Oh Nam, Kim Mo Mi's co-worker with severe social anxiety.
He is known for his reliable characters in "Fight For My Way" and "Reply 1988," which left the fans in awe with his creepy transformation.
The actor appeared with a balding look and a "dad bod" which synchronized with the webtoon character, giving the look of "complete distortion of reality."

According to Ahn Jae Hong, playing Joo Oh Nam gave an unfamiliar feeling yet it boosted his pride as he took on the challenge.

Ahn Jae Hong Dishes About His Acting Career
Legendary actress and co-star Go Hyun Jung also praised the actor for his scene-stealing performance. Ahn Jae Hong remains humble, and thanks his senior actors and the production unit for their eternal guidance.
The actor also thanks the team for the opportunity as he longed to portray a character who's "dark" or "morally gray."
Regarding his career, he wants to take on as many projects while he still can. He believes that as he grows older, the array of works would become limited.
He plans to go back to his roots and play another vivacious character to reclaim his image following "Mask Girl."
Ahn Jae Hong Admits Being Challenged By 'Mask Girl' Role
Unlike before, Ahn Jae Hong hasn't done a lot of physical changes in order to play a role. He purposefully gained 10 kilos to achieve Joo Oh Nam's body.
He shared that his character's makeup would always take two hours including the skintone and the wig.
"I did what I could to deliver a fresh perspective of me as an actor," Ahn Jae Hong stated. "I wanted to showcase a character who has a "deep twisted mind" to the viewers."

He also focused on his character's nuances, and came up with the idea to speak the foreign language in the show despite having no Japanese lines in the script.
This was because of his character's obsession with Japanese anime and sex dolls. His creepy birthday party scene even trended online, impressing the public with his performance.
