Lee Chung Ah Reunites With Namgoong Min as She Joins ‘My Dearest’
Lee Chung Ah will be joining the cast of "My Dearest" for the show's final week.
According to reports, she will be portraying an interesting role along with lead stars Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin.
Lee Chung Ah Takes on Pivotal Character in 'My Dearest'
As the MBC historical K-drama airs in its final week, "My Dearest" will introduce a new character through Lee Chung Ah.
With this, the actress' agency, J-Wide Company, also confirmed the news, saying that the 38-year-old will portray a "mysterious figure in a blue mask."
Moreover, the talent label suggests that Lee Chung Ah's character will be "linked with Lee Jang Hyun," played by Namgoong Min.
As mentioned by a local media outlet, she will take on the role of the Qing Dynasty's prisoner hunter.
Lee Chung Ah is set to showcase her versatility as a pivotal figure in the last two episodes of "My Dearest."
Interestingly, the historical K-drama is not the first project of Lee Chung Ah and Namgoong Min.

Making it their third project together, she also appeared in Namgoong Min's dramas, such as tvN's "Awaken" and SBS' "One Dollar Lawyer."
Adding to this list of dramas, the 38-year-old star is best known for her role in "V.I.P." as well as the Netflix hit K-drama "Celebrity" with Park Gyu Young. She takes on the role of Yoon Shi Hyeon, a well-educated and high-class woman from a noble family who seems to be living an ideal lifestyle.
What to Expect in 'My Dearest' Finale
Helmed by "The Veil" director Kim Sung Yong, "My Dearest" is a period drama that depicts the love story of two individuals who fell in love amid a chaotic era.
The story narrates the romance between a noblewoman named Yoo Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin) and a mysterious man named Lee Jang Hyuk (Namgoong Min) during the Qing invasion.
Gil Chae has been searching for a man who appeared in her dreams and thought that it was scholar Nam Yeon Jun (Lee Hak Joo). However, she found out that his longtime crush is getting married to her close friend, Kyung Eun Ae (Lee Da In).
As the war broke out, she got closer to Lee Jang Hyuk and later realized that he was the man in her dreams. The same goes for Jang Hyuk, who also dreamt of the same scenario and was looking for Gil Chae.
The last two episodes might depict how the Kingdom will officially end the riff with the Qing Dynasty and what will happen to the survivors, including Jang Hyuk and Gil Chae.
'My Dearest' Episode 9 Release Date
"My Dearest" episodes 9 and 10 are scheduled to air on September 1 and 2 at 9:50 p.m.
Viewers will get to see the latest episodes via MBC, while global fans can catch the last two episodes on Kocowa and Viki.
