"Moving" writer Kang Full says the drama series has "better" responses than the original.

Kang Full, the creator behind the hit webtoon series, turned to K-drama, spoke about the overwhelming responses he got after Disney+ dropped the series.

Besides the star-studded cast, viewers were drawn to the entertaining and intriguing stories of every character.

Helmed by "Kingdom" season 2 director Park In Je and penned by Kang Full, "Moving" is adapted from the webtoon of the same name that depicts the story of individuals with superhuman abilities.

In an interview with local media outlets, the writer tells News 1 Korea about his honest thoughts and experience doing the series.

Kang Full Says He Received Response Saying That the K-drama 'Moving' is 'Better' Than the Webtoon

One of the things brought up during the interview was the overwhelming reaction of viewers to "Moving" when it was first released in Disney+.

For the webtoon and K-drama writer, he felt good about the support and love of viewers.

"Originally, I didn't search for my work, but these days I search for "Moving" every day," he said, since the 20-episode series is making a huge buzz on social media.

Moreover, one response that he remembered vividly was the comparison of the webtoon versus the K-drama adaptation.

"I remember the reaction of 'better than the original'. I don't know if I should laugh or cry," he said, adding, "I was always in a position to be compared to the original, but the comparison target is the original."

Although "Moving" is based on a webtoon, both written by Kang Full, there are some parts that were not tackled in the web series, just like Cha Tae Hyun's character.

According to a report, his role, Jeon Gye Do, a.k.a. The Lighting Man did not exist on webtoon and was created only for the Disney+ series.

Interestingly, Cha Tae Hyun's comedic and dramatic performance captured the hearts of viewers.

On top of that, the "Moving" director went to praise the actor, saying he was the "most perfect casting choice" for the role as Lighting Man.

"He practiced a lot and even performed dangerous bus action sequences himself," the director added.

'Moving' Writer Talks About the Villain Character, Frank

In the first part of the series, "Moving," introduced the villain named Frank, played by Ryu Seung Beom. He was born in Korea but moved to the U.S. to become a part of a mission.

Due to his superhuman powers, he was recruited by the CIS and later became the person who eliminated individuals with special abilities like him.

According to the writer, the tension created around the character of Frank is really vital.

"Frank is not a character who has suddenly been rushed. I wrote the first part while worrying about how my children would grow up, and I thought more about the story of the parents' and children's generations," Kang Full explained.

"Moving" also depicted his heartbreaking story and why he became the monster that he is now.
