On the 31th episode of the KBS2 weekend drama "King's Family" which aired on Saturday, December 14, 2013, Sae Dal, played by Oh Man Suk, tries to steal the belongings of Mi Ran, played by Kim Yoon Kyung, to raise up the money to save Ho Bak, played by Lee Tae Ran. However, when Mi Ran finds out that Sae Dal has been trying to steal her stuff, she kicks him out. Ho Bak, who has plotted a kidnapping session to see if Sae Dal genuinely loves her, decides to divorce Sae Dal when she cannot reach him on the phone. Kwang Bak, played by Lee Yoon Ji, gets the first place in the daughter in law audition, and Choi Don Sae, played by Choi Dae Chul, and Huh Young Dal, played by Kang Ye Bin, ends up spending a night together after drinking together at a street bar.

The point is, the audiences are not sure that this drama "King's Family" is as based on the present day (2013) as the drama argues it is. The drama advertises that it will portray Korea's family keywords of the year 2013 in the most practical way. However, events such as the fake kidnapping incident and daughter in law contests do not seem so based on the year 2013.
