In the September 2 broadcast of the YouTube show "Pinggyego," Song Ji Hyo sat with the program's hosts who are also her co-members in "Running Man," namely Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, and Haha.

Song Ji Hyo revealed for the first time in public the emotional difficulties she had to deal with during the controversy about her attitude on the SBS variety program "Running Man" broke out.

The "Princess Hours" actress engaged in a heartfelt conversation with the hosts. As the interview proceeded, Nation's MC Yoo Jae Suk broached the topic, saying that while watching the said variety show, there were moments when Song Ji Hyo remained unusually silent.

Song Ji Hyo, who was attentive listening, did not shy away from the subject and bravely discussed the situation.

"That's true. When there was a 'leaving controversy,' I was very grateful to Yoo Jae Suk and Ji Suk Jin."

Yoo Jae Suk revealed his supportive role during the challenging period for the actress.

According to the veteran star, at that time, he called Song Ji Hyo and said:

Song Ji Hyo said:

The "Was It Love" star mentioned the impact of the controversy on her:

"In reality, I searched for my name more during that week than in the past year. Those articles did stimulate me, and I worked harder afterward."

Song Ji Hyo's openness about her struggles and the full support she received from her "Running Man" colleagues garnered praise from many.

To recall, in June, Song Ji Hyo made waves on various community portals after viewers observed her "lack of interest" while filming "Running Man." Due to this, viewers demanded her to leave the show.

Meanwhile, others defended her as she was facing issues with her agency at that time.
