Since its premiere, the show enjoyed stable ratings. The final episode recorded an average score of 3.4%, ranking first in the Monday and Tuesday time slot across cable channels.
Through "My Lovely Liar," faith and trust became more meaningful as Kim So Hyun's Mok Sol Hee showed the struggles of being surrounded by people who lie.

Seo Ji Hoon's Lee Kang Min and Yoon Ji On's Jo Deuk Chan were also given a happy ending, much to fans' delight. Their relationships with Mok Sol Hee and Kim Do Ha were preserved, even though they had a fallout in the previous episodes.
Last but not the least, the drama concluded with flying colors as Mok Sol Hee accepted Kim Do Ha's marriage proposal. The two professed their love for one another at the end.
Mok Sol Hee also began a job at her own cafe as she lived her new life without the pressure of being able to hear lies around her.
