Han So Hee’s Facial Piercings Garner Backlash – Is She Copying BTS Jungkook?
Han So Hee is getting negative responses after posting a photo of her donning new piercings.
The unexpected new look of the actress shocked fans, making the "My Name" star the target of criticism.
In one of Han So Hee's Instagram posts, the actress posted a series of photos showing a glimpse of her life outside of show business, along with a photo showing her lip piercings.
Following her IG post, the actress went on Instagram Live, this time donning more piercings on her cheeks.
Han So Hee Instagram Live Addresses Concerns Regarding Her Piercings
In the live video, the "Nevertheless" actress explained why she can't talk that clearly, and that is because of her lip piercings.
Interestingly, she shared a lovely encounter with a fan that surprised her.
"But let me tell you what took me by surprise today. Since I got my new bangs and piercings, I didn't think anybody would recognize me on the street, but two girls asked me for photos," she recalled, adding that it made her day.
As fans kept asking her about her piercings, Han So Hee revealed the reason for them. The 28-year-old actress said it was something that she wanted to do for a long time and finally had the courage to have it, which includes her lips and undereye piercings.

Regarding the public concerns about the actress's work and whether it will affect her roles or career as an actress and endorser, Han So Hee seemed to have a plan and knows how to deal with them.
"I can always take them off when I have to for my roles, you know. I mean, I might even still be able to wear them if they go well with my roles," she said, expressing how she prioritizes her career.
As for the scars, the actress said that she can have them removed through lasers, so that wouldn't be an issue for her.

On Han So Hee's Instagram post, some of the comments mentioned the name of BTS' Jungkook. Netizens are accusing the actress of imitating the K-pop star's style, especially since both of them now have lip piercings.
Other outlets also raised public speculation that she might be going through mental struggles due to her overwhelming fame.
This is not the first time that Han So Hee has deviated from South Korea's beauty standard.
Before becoming an actress, she had arm tattoos but chose to remove them when she made her debut, but she kept some of them, like her hip tattoo that she showed during the Balenciaga campaign.
