Kim So Hyun again solidified her versatility and title as the "romance goddess" following the successful conclusion of her drama "My Lovely Liar."

In her media interview, the actress revealed why she chose the series as her comeback screen project.

According to her, she has met viewers with a lot of historical dramas and wanted to show a brighter look through a rom-com, that was why she agreed to star in "My Lovely Liar."

Regarding her chemistry with her new onscreen partner Hwang Minhyun, the actress gave her honest thoughts about working with the idol-actor.

"I was enthusiastic when I heard I was going to do a rom-com with him. People around me also like him. My friends, in particular, said he was very handsome."

Kim So Hyun mentioned that Hwang Minhyun was calm and quiet, but after they got closer, he became more playful and funny.

She revealed that in the beginning episodes of the series where Do Ha (the actor's character) was still wearing a mask, the atmosphere was still awkward. As he removed his mask, the two became more relaxed.

She also shared that Hwang Minhyun immediately understood her acting and adapted well to the changes on the set, which she admitted helped in improving their chemistry.

Regarding the kiss scene that the drama's director posted on social media, Kim So Hyun clarified that the director shared it not because she and Minhyun were dating but because the PD'nim liked their chemistry so much.

Kim So Hyun shared her honest thoughts about her closeness with Hwang Minhyun, which sparked dating rumors between them.

"We became close and joked around to the point that we had tons of NGs during romance scenes. I think we looked good as a couple on screen. I didn't expect to receive such explosive responses for our synergy. Since chemistry is very important for a rom-com, I was relieved that our chemistry was successful."
