Park Ji Hoon To Reprise ‘Weak Hero Class 1’ Role For Season 2? Here’s What We Know

Before 2023 ends, the production team of "Weak Hero Class 1" announced the making of its second season much to fans' delight.

'Weak Hero Class 1' Announces Season 2 Production

Earlier this October, Wavve had fans clamoring after its mega hit drama "Weak Hero Class 1" announced that Season 2 is finally in the works.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, the 2022 drama follows the story of a model student who uses his tactical skills and intelligence to take down bullies in his school.

Park Ji Hoon stunned the Hallyu scene with his immersive and emotionally driven portrayal of Yoon Si Eun. Thanks to this, he received high praises from fans and critics alike.

He also bagged the Best New Actor award at the 2023 Blue Dragon Series Awards, proving his excellence as a rising actor.

The eight-episode drama remains as one of the best works released in 2022 and because of this, fans can't wait to see more of the work especially after it ended in a cliffhanger.

Thankfully, the showrunners announced that Season 2 received the green light for production. Kim Myung Jin, the producer, promises to return with greater strength with Yoon Si Eun's next chapter.

In addition, "Weak Hero Class 1" was named as the Best OTT Original Drama in the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards.

Will Park Ji Hoon Return As Yoon Si Eun?

Park Ji Hoon's performance in "Weak Hero Class 1" didn't only receive great feedback from fans and critics, but it also cemented the idol-actor's name as a rising star.

Because of this, it is expected that Park Ji Hoon reprises his role as Yoon Si Eun although there's no confirmation about it yet.

In addition to that, Season 2 will tackle the main narrative of the webtoon as Yoon Si Eun meets his worst villain and enemy. He will also go through a dramatic change, which fans look forward to seeing.

With three seasons published, the drama contents are barely scratching any surface. In addition, Choi Hyun Wook and Hong Kyung's return is also not yet clear.
