After the success of his fantasy romance drama "See You In My 19th Life" with Shin Hye Sun, Ahn Bo Hyun may be starring in a new period drama "Hash's Shinru."

The actor was reportedly cast to lead the work which was written by the "Love in the Moonlight" writer. Here's what we know so far.


Ahn Bo Hyun To Star In Historical Drama 'Hash's Shinru'

On October 12, media outlets reported that Ahn Bo Hyun may be starring in the upcoming historical drama "Hash's Shinru."

Earlier this year, the actor showcased his charisma and romantic side through the fantasy romance series "See You In My 19th Life" with Shin Hye Sun.

Because of this, fans became more excited to see a new side of the actor through his forthcoming works. Ahn Bo Hyun was offered to appear as a crown prince in the drama.

"Hash's Shinru," set in the Joseon renaissance, tells the romantic story of Lee Hwang, a scientist who loves the stars and a mysterious woman who sees the future called Hae Roo.

It is a work that is written by Yoon Yi Soo who also penned the mega hit drama "Love in the Moonlight," raising the tension to a new level.

According to FN Entertainment, Ahn Bo Hyun's agency, the actor is currently reviewing the offer with a positive mind. However, nothing has been decided yet.

Fans are expecting for a positive result especially since Ahn Bo Hyun hasn't led a period drama since his acting debut in 2014.

Ahn Bo Hyun To Return To Silver Theaters With New Films

Before the year ends, Ahn Bo Hyun's fans are in for a treat as he returns with a slew of films. Currently, the Hallyu superstar is gearing up for his film "Noryang: Deadly Sea," which is set to premiere this December.

Also starring Kim Yoon Seok, Baek Yoon Sik and more, the film depicts the historical battle of Noryang, the final battle in the Japanese invasion.

It's the final installment in the trilogy, preceded by the first feature films "The Admiral: Roaring Currents" in 2014 and "Hansan: Rising Dragons" in 2022.

In addition, Ahn Bo Hyun also busies himself with the romantic comedy film "2 O'Clock Date" with Yoona, which will air in the later part of 2023. Stay tuned for more updates.
