"The Killing Vote" actor Seo Young Joo will join a list of celebrities who enlisted in the military this 2023.

During the press conference for his upcoming movie "Open the Door," director Jang Hang Jun dropped bombshell news regarding the actor's upcoming activities.

Seo Young Joo to Enlist in November

According to a news outlet, "Open the Door" director Seo Young Joo will have his enlistment on November 28.

It means that "The Killing Vote" will be his last K-drama project before enlistment.

As for his new movie, the 25-year-old actor revealed how "Open the Door" gave him confidence to be an actor.

Expressing gratitude for being part of the film, he said, "After the audition, the director gave me confidence. I said, 'I can't do it,' but he told me to do what he saw, which helped me."

"Open the Door" is a mystery-psychological thriller film that depicts the secret of a family who uncovered an incident after a murder at a Korean laundromat in New Jersey, USA, seven years ago.

Scheduled to hit theaters on October 25, the movie also stars Kim Soo Jin and Lee Soon Won.

Meanwhile, Seo Young Joo is currently starring in the hit thriller crime K-drama "The Killing Vote" with Lim Ji Yeon, Park Hae Jin, and Park Sung Woong.

Seo Young Joo Transforms into Gaetal Accomplice in 'The Killing Vote'

As the series enters the second half of the season, Seo Young Joo's role showcases a shocking surprise after showing that he is among the accomplices of Gaetal.

Taking on the role of Kim Ji Hoon, he is a high school student who is a close friend of Joo Hyun's (Lim Ji Yeon) sister.

He became close with Joo Hyun after she noticed her skill in research and helping to find out who Gaetal is.

Little did they know that Kim Ji Hoon is working for an organization that punishes criminals who were able to get away with their crimes.

It was also revealed in the story that Ji Hoon pushed Joo Hyun to think that Lee Min Soo was the real Gaetal, but in reality, he was just a pawn in the bigger incident.

On the other hand, "The Killing Vote" episode 8 featured how Kim Ji Hoon was able to stop the streaming before the public vote for Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin) being the target of the next killing vote.

As for the upcoming episode, it will feature the real connection between Kim Ji Hoon and Professor Kwon, who escaped the prison.
