After his back-to-back success on the television scene, Wi Ha Joon is now teaming up with veteran actress Jung Ryeo Won in the upcoming romance drama "Graduation."

Tension is high for the new K-drama couple, amplified by the fans' expectations as "Something In The Rain" showrunner Ahn Pan Seok picks up the megaphone as the director.

Wi Ha Joon To Couple With Jung Ryeo Won In New Drama

On October 19, broadcast network tvN announced the meeting of Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in the forthcoming romance series "Graduation."

Led by Ahn Pan Seok, the director of hit drama "Something In The Rain," "Graduation" follows the romance story between a mischievous student's undying love for his academy teacher.

It is set against the background of Daechi, a renowned South Korean neighborhood known for being the epicenter of private education.

Wi Ha Joon takes on the role of Lee Jun Ho, a student who dreams of attending a prestigious university while Jung Ryeo Won plays Seo Hye Jin, a rookie instructor who is Lee Jun Ho's first love.

The drama tackles one's true love, determination in achieving life-long dreams and rediscovery of one's self through the lives of Lee Jun Ho and Jung Ryeo Won.

With the two actors' amazing acting skills that they've shown in dramas "Bad and Crazy," "Wok of Love" and more, fans expect to see a flawless drama and intense chemistry.

'Graduation' Details & What We Know So Far

Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won expressed their excitement and affection for the drama in an interview.

After the announcement of the production, Jung Ryeo Won couldn't hide her excitement. According to her, she looks forward to returning to the drama scene with a romance series.

"I'm more delighted to work with Ahn Pan Seok and Wi Ha Joon, two great people whom I respect," the actress said. "I promise to give my best in this drama."

Meanwhile, Wi Ha Joon revealed that he fell in love with his character after reading the script, all thanks to Lee Jun Ho's charms and interesting life.

He also stated that he's happy to reunite with Ahn Pan Seok, whom he first met through "Something In The Rain," and work with Jung Ryeo Won, a renowned K-drama superstar.

At the moment, the casting lineup for "Graduation" is being finalized. Once it's accomplished, filming for the work will immediately begin.
