A Good Day to Be a Dog Cancels Broadcast

MBC delivered another sad news as its Wednesday K-drama "A Good Day to Be a Dog" might not be airing this week. For what reason?

Read on to know.

MBC to Postpone 'A Good Day to Be a Dog' Episode 5 Broadcast

On November 6, MBC announced that "A Good Day to Be a Dog" episode 5, which is scheduled to air on November 8, might get canceled.

According to the network, it has been rescheduled with two alternatives.

The said changes are due to MBC's plan to broadcast the second game of the 2030 KBO professional baseball postseason Korean Series between KT Wiz and LG Twins.

Therefore, it depends on MBC's baseball broadcast whether Cha Eun Woo's "A Good Day to Be a Dog." The baseball game will start at 6:20 p.m. (KST) while the K-drama airs at 9 p.m. (KST).

Cha Eun Woo's Comeback K-Drama Continues to Record Low Ratings

Cha Eun Woo, Park Gyu Young, and Lee Hyun Woo's drama releases episodes every Wednesday, and premiered in October 11. However, it has been performing sluggishly.

Nielsen Korea cited that the first and second episodes of the series garnered ratings of 2.2 percent and 2.8 percent, but the ratings dropped in episode 3 to 1.9 percent.

After the episode 4 broadcast was postponed due to the baseball semi-playoff, the drama not only failed to recover the rating performance but also had a significant drop in rating to 1.7 percent.

Some viewers pointed out that there are various reasons for the poor ratings, and the most common issue was MBC's broadcasting plan of releasing only one episode a week.

Despite the star-studded and talented cast and some positive reviews about the fantasy K-drama, most expressed their disappointment as cancellations of broadcasts have been prolonging the waiting time for new episodes.

Furthermore, as the series has low ratings, viewers are still hopeful and looking forward to seeing if the drama will recover and will face the second broadcast cancellation on November 8.
