'Vigilante' Episode 1 Highlights

The story shows the heartbreaking background of Kim Ji Yong, who witnessed how his mother suffered at the hands of a man. Since he was a child at the time, he had no strength to defend his mother. As a result, she was kiled in front of his eyes.

At the court hearing, Kim Ji Yong could see that the man had no remorse for doing it, and what made it more painful was that the law sentenced the killer to a mere 3-year prison sentence.

The incident brought major trauma to his life, and at a young age, he realized that there are loopholes in the law. Due to this, he is motivated to take justice into his own hands; hence, the vigilante is born.

One of his earliest missions was to get back at the killer who murdered his mother. Seeing that he hadn't changed at all, the vigilante punished him and assured him that he would suffer.

The incident brought attention to the public and media, especially with MBS reporter Choi Mi Ryeo, who decided to follow the story, labeling the vigilante as a dark hero.

'Vigilante' Episode 2 Highlights

A significant character was introduced in episode 2.

Now that the vigilante is getting a lot of attention from the media and police, Kim Ji Yong has had to move more secretly and be careful by not leaving any clues to trace him.

In "Vigilante" episode 2, Kim Ji Yong was investigating a criminal who murdered two young children in front of their mother. Seeking revenge for the innocent lives of the siblings, Ji Yong did his deed near the Han River, where he punished the criminal who escaped with the murder.

The police found a dead body and launched their investigation to hunt down the vigilante. Authorities wanted to change the perception of the public against vigilantes and state that only the law has the right to punish criminals.

In the last scene, detective Cho Heon was introduced, tracing all leads that could bring him to vigilante.

Will Cho Heon be able to catch the mysterious vigilante?
