Ending 2023 with a bang, a slew of new K-dramas are set to premiere in December. From highly-anticipated sequels to celebrity small-screen comebacks, the last month of the year will surely be an exciting one for K-drama fans!

Warming your hearts this holiday season, here's a list of new K-dramas airing in December 2023.

1. 'Sweet Home' Season 2

Release Date: December 1

With a mix of returning and new cast members, Netflix showcases the comeback of "Sweet Home" season 2.

After three years since viewers witnessed the heart-stopping season 1, the apocalyptic K-drama officially returns on December 1.

Exclusively released by Netflix, the upcoming K-drama is helmed by Lee Eung Bok of "Sweet Home" season 1, "Goblin," and "Descendants of the Sun."

In addition, the cast lineup boasts a roster of talented stars. Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Park Gyu Young, and Go Min Si are set to reprise their roles. Interestingly, Oj Jung Se, Kim Mu Yeol, Jung Jin Young, and more join as new characters.

2. 'Welcome to Samdalri'

Release Date: December 2

After Ji Chang Wook's action-packed K-drama "The Worst of Evil," the South Korean heartthrob returns as a small town local named Cho Yong Pil, who lives in Samdalri.

Interestingly, an unexpected thing happened when he got reunited with his childhood friend Cho Sam Dal, played by Shin Hye Sun.

The romance-life drama is set to air on December 2, with a total of 16 episodes.

"Welcome to Samdalri" will broadcast via JTBC and TVING, while global viewers can stream it through Netflix.

3. 'Night Has Come'

Release Date: December 4

Another horror-thriller series is scheduled to hit the small screen this December!

"Night Has Come," which stars "Racket Boys" star Lee Jae In, along with "The Penthouse" cast Choi Ye Bin, is set to deliver a thrilling episode.

Directed by Im Dae Woong of "Search" and "Taste of Horror," the upcoming K-drama is a mystery-teen series that depicts the story of second-year high school students who get caught up in real-life mafia games.

Viewers will get to see intense psychological warfare between these high school students as they go into survival mode.

4. 'Soundtrack #2'

Release Date: December 6

Following the success of "Soundtrack #1," headlined by Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee, the sequel, "Soundtrack #2," features new lead stars through Geum Sae Rok and Steve Noh as the music-loving duo.

The upcoming romance series will air via Disney+ on December 6.

5. 'Death's Game'

Release Date: December 15

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, "Death's Game" focuses on a man's journey after getting a second chance at life after facing his death.

"Death's Game" not only showcases an amazing storyline but also a star-studded cast headlined by Seo In Guk, Park So Dam, Go Yoon Jung, Kim Ji Hoon, and more.

Airing on December 15, "Death's Game" will be released via JTBC and TVING.
