IN THE LOOP: ‘Sweet Home,’ ‘Welcome to Samdalri,’ More New K-dramas Airing This First Week of December
In the last month of 2023, broadcast networks like SBS, KBS, tvN, and more, as well as OTT services such as Netflix and Disney+, are ending the year with a slew of the most-awaited K-dramas.
Interestingly, there's an amazing and exciting list of new K-dramas set to premiere this first week of December.
From highly anticipated sequels to adaptations, here's a rundown of new K-dramas for December 2023.
'Sweet Home' Season 2
Release Date: December 1
The long wait is over for fans as Netflix officially drops "Sweet Home" season 2 on December 1, 20203.
The journey continues as the group of survivors faces more challenging scenes and encounters mysterious creatures as they struggle to stay alive.

Headlined by Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Park Gyu Young, and Go Min Si, they will reprise their roles as they meet new characters joining the sequel.
This includes Oh Jung Se, Yoo Oh Sung, Kim Mu Yeol, Yoo Oh Sung, Jung Jin Young, and more.
As mentioned by a news portal, director Lee Eung Bok teased viewers, explaining what to expect in the upcoming sequel.
"Monsters are not only outside but also firmly rooted in each person. I wanted to pose the question of how long the survivors can hold on to their humanity and whether they can accept their lovers, friends, and family members who have become monsters overnight."
Meanwhile, "Sweet Home" season 2 exclusively airs on Netflix.
'My Man is Cupid'
Release Date: December 1
Another new K-drama airing on December 1 is "My Man is Cupid."
Starring Jang Dong Yoon, Nana, and Park Ki Woong, the 16-episode series is a rom-com fantasy that features the budding romance of a charismatic fairy named Cheon Sang Hyuk (Jang Dong Yoon) and a lovely veterinarian, Baek Ryun (Nana).
"My Man is Cupid" airs every Friday and Saturday via Amazon Prime.
'Welcome to Samdalri'
Release Date: December 2
After his action-packed K-drama, Ji Chang Wook returns to the romance series with a new K-drama, "Welcome to Samdalri."
Together with Shin Hye Sun as the lead stars, the soon-to-be released romance series follows the story of a man named Jo Yong Pil (Ji Chang Wook), a Jeju native who remained on the island all his life.
After years of being apart, he gets reunited with Jo Sam Dal (Shin Hye Sun), who has known Yong Pil since they were young.
Will their reconnection start something new?
Slated to premiere on December 2, viewers could catch the pilot episode of "Welcome to Samdalri" via JTBC and TVING, while global viewers could stream it via Netflix.
