Park Eun Bin On Choosing 'Castaway Diva'

On December 5, Park Eun Bin shared her honest thoughts on her recently concluded rom-com series "Castaway Diva" in a brief interview.

The actress dominated prime time as an aspiring singer who, on her way to an audition, gets in an accident that lands her on an uninhabited island for 15 years.

"Castaway Diva" ended blissfully and maintained its all-time high streak with an average score of 9%, which marks the drama's highest score in the entire run.

"I had a strong desire to return with a lighthearted drama that brings comfort to the viewers," Park Eun Bin shared. "As Seo Mok Ha, I was able to do that for six amazing weeks."

According to the actress, Seo Mok Ha was the most difficult role she had played so far due to the differences she shares with her character. Park Eun Bin revealed that she's afraid of water.

"It wasn't easy because I had to learn swimming among others," she said. "I focused on singing, playing the guitar and even speaking in a dialect that I had never tried before so it was a huge challenge."

With the help of her colleagues and the showrunners, Park Eun Bin was able to perform well in the series. Despite all that, she doesn't regret choosing "Castaway Diva."

Is Park Eun Bin Satisfied With 'Castaway Diva' Success?

Besides all the innate pressure, Park Eun Bin was also under massive stress because of the desire to achieve back-to-back successful shows.

To recall, the actress also dominated the past year with her "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" work which became a sensation in the worldwide entertainment scene.

Thankfully, "Castaway Diva" didn't fall short, and all the pressure that Park Eun Bin felt had been worth it all along. She said, "I was able to improve a lot from then on."

Despite being a short-form series, it was still completed by great effort from the cast and crew. With this, Park Eun Bin felt that 2023 is a satisfactory year for her.

She described the year as "full of self-love and success." Besides her highly loved comeback series, she also bagged the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards.

Park Eun Bin thanked her fans and family for giving their 100% support in everything that she does. She also thanked Seo Mok Ha's positive energy which transcended to her in real life.
