'Maestra: Strings of Truth' Episode 1: Lee Young Ae Shakes Hanphil Music Center

The first episode unfolded with Cha Se Eum returning to South Korea after 20 years. She was introduced as Hanphil Music Center's orchestra conductor.

However, upon meeting her, the members had different perceptions about her, with some seeing her in a negative light. She led her first practice with the group with a song from "Mission Impossible," where her keen attention to details kicked in.

After the first rehearsal with the group, Cha Se Eum came across Lee Luna and was impressed with her skill on the violin. They had a duet together, which proved to her that the young musician has amazing skills.

This played a big role in her decision to make major changes to the orchestra. She met with concertmaster Jae Man, who used to be her former music teacher.

Cha Se Eum got straight to the point and asked him to step down as the concertmaster because of his health condition. She noticed that Jae Man was having a hard time using his fourth finger on the violin.

However, the longtime concertmaster brought up the topic of his family and mentioned that he wanted to retire next year, asking if she could turn blind eye about his decision, but she answered negatively.

Cha Se Eum explained that she couldn't let the whole orchestra suffer because of a single person.

The next day, the conductor mentioned their new concertmaster, introducing Lee Luna to her new role.

Unfortunately, the changes caused disappointment among members, resulting in a revolt.

On the other hand, as she returned to her homeland, Cha Se Eum visited her father, but her quick trip to their home caused her to remember her dark past.

Meanwhile, "Maestra: Strings of Truth" Episode 1 highlighted Cha Se Eum as the fearless conductor as she refused to let the whole orchestra go against her.
