Rowoon to Possibly Lead Gangster K-Drama 'Takryu'
According to a report on December 19, Rowoon is being courted to headline the forthcoming drama "Takryu." However, his agency, FNC Entertainment clarified that the actor has only received a offer and nothing has been confirmed yet.
"Takryu" is a gangster-historical drama that depicts the gripping tale of a gangster at the bustling Han River's Mapo Port during the Joseon Dynasty as he becomes a legend of the era.
According to the source, teaming up for the first time for this project is "Masquerade" director Chu Chang Min and writer Chun Sung Il.
Sung Il is the brilliant mind behind the 2010 drama "The Slave Hunters" and the megahit 2022 series "All of Us Are Dead."
Meanwhile, the soon-to-release series is rumored to be available for streaming on Disney Plus.
In addition, Park Seo Ham is also in talks to join the project, but his agency has not officially announced the decision yet.
Once the casting is complete, the production will finally start filming in February 2024.
If Rowoon accepts the offer, "Takryu" marks his third historical series following "The King's Affection" and "The Matchmakers."

In the second half of this year, he captivated the viewers' hearts with his fantasy-romance drama "Destined With You," alongside Jo Bo Ah.

Different from his previous works, Rowoon turned into a genius and handsome lawyer, who was cursed by a forbidden book sealed 300 years ago.
"Destined With You" received popularity and enthusiastic response from global fans.
Aside from this, Rowoon is currently starring in the historical-romance series "The Matchmakers," along with "All of Us Are Dead" actress Cho Yi Hyun.
The drama is now on its finale and is expected to conclude its run this coming December 25.
Rowoon Embarks on Solo Fan Meeting Tour in 2024
Rowoon 'An Ordinary Day'
Rowoon will return the love and support of his fans as FNC Entertainment announced his upcoming Asian fan meeting tour "An Ordinary Day" to kick off in January.
The heartthrob will visit four cities: Taipei on January 21, Bangkok on January 27, Hong Kong on January 31, and Manila on March 2.
The actor is expected to conclude his tour in Seoul, but the date is yet to be confirmed.
