WJSN Bona Named As Rising Star of 2023

In the past year, idol-actress Kim Ji Yeon, known professionally as WJSN Bona, has dominated prime time as a rising star.

She proved that from the idol stage to the television screen, there's nothing that she can't do with her talents and skills.

Bona gained a huge following after her iconic portrayal of a gold medalist fencer in "Twenty Five, Twenty One" with Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk and more.

She was even named as the Best New Actress of the Year at the Korea Drama Awards and Asia Artist Awards in 2022.

With this, she bagged her first-ever major acting role as a Joseon princess opposite Woo Do Hwan in the historical series "Joseon Attorney."

Thanks to her shining visuals on screen and immersive acting, many viewers wish to see more of her. This 2024, she's coming back to the spotlight with "Pyramid Game."

'Pyramid Game' To Make Much Awaited Debut In 2024

Earlier this year, TVING announced that WJSN Bona will headline the webtoon-based series "Pyramid Game."

IVE Jang Wonyoung's sister Jang Da Ah and "Single's Inferno 2" star Shin Seul Gi reportedly joined the actress in the ensemble.

"Pyramid Game" depicts the thrilling story of high school students that get graded through a popularity vote in order to find the new target of school violence.

Bona takes on the role of Sung Su Ji, a second year student who becomes the target of the pyramid game as soon as she transfers to the school. To break its toxic cycle, she becomes the face of rebellion.

The idol-actress is expected to showcase a never-before-seen side of her on television. She's also set to raise awareness about school violence as well as a sense of justice through her impactful performance.
