“Man From The Stars” Beats “Miss Korea”, “Pretty Man” In Ratings

New Wednesday-Thursday dramas battle it out for viewership, but among "Man From The Stars", "Miss Korea" and "Pretty Man", which drama stood out the most?

SBS's new drama "Man From The Stars" received an impressive ratings number for its premiere episode, beating out its opponents from other broadcasting stations with its 15.6% ratings, which is a 4% increase from the debut episode of its predecessor "The Heirs". The drama marks Jun Ji Hyun's comeback in the small screen after fourteen years, and this will be her second time working with Kim Soo Hyun in an acting project.

Meanwhile, MBC's "Miss Korea" premiered with 7% viewership, but on a positive note, it is a 1.7% increase from the finale episode of "Medical Top Team" which ended last week. Lead actor Lee Sun Gyun expressed the pressure he is feeling from pitting against "Man From The Stars", but he assures fans that they're enjoying filming and are more concerned about the quality of the drama rather than the rating.

On the other hand, KBS's "Pretty Man" is still struggling with its 3.5.% viewership rating. Jang Geun Suk expressed in an interview that the drama is an avenue for improving himself as an actor, and that he is thankful for being a part of it.
