Park Min Young Details Struggle in 2023

Apart from sharing her experience with her K-drama comeback, Park Min Young talked about second chances.

In 2022, the actress made headlines after Dispatch exposed the "Love in Contract" star's alleged boyfriend, who got involved in fraud over Bithumb and was investigated because of it.

The 37-year-old actress participated in the probe after being summoned as a witness in her ex-boyfriend's embezzlement case.

Park Min Young's then boyfriend owned the cryptocurrency trading company Vidente, one of the largest shareholders of Bithumb Holdings.

A year after the controversy, she looked back at the challenges she faced, including struggling mentally and physically.

"Honestly, it was a year when both my body and mental health suffered. I was wondering if I could do well," she said, according to an outlet, adding that the "Marry My Husband" director "helped" her a lot as an actress.

Although she did not specifically mention any name or particular incident, Park Min Young mentioned that she "lived each day with regret."

The actress also detailed the process that she went through to get over it.

"When I had a brain wave test at the psychiatrist, it showed danger signals due to guilt."

However, she saw this as a "realization" of her true profession and the significance of acting for her.

"I shine the most when I'm just acting on set, like before."

"Marry My Husband" is her first K-drama since the controversy got exposed. It was after two projects in 2022, "Love in Contract" and "Forecasting Love and Weather" with Song Kang.
