'Love Song For Illusion' Episode 9: Will Park Ji Hoon & Hong Ye Ji Rekindle Romance?

After Park Ji Hoon leaves Hong Ye Ji, the latter returns to being an assassin. However, a sudden tragedy brings the two back together in "Love Song For Illusion" episode 9.

Did they rekindle their relationship? Here's what went down in the latest episode.

Sajo Yung's Wrath Continues

After facing the brink of death, Yeon Wol (Hong Ye Ji) parts ways with Sajo Hyun (Park Ji Hoon) and promises to meet each other in the future.

Meanwhile, a brokenhearted Ak Hee leaves after discovering Yeon Wol's true feelings. However, he still doesn't accept his defeat.

He remembers the shaman's words that when the full moon rises, he can easily take over Sajo Hyun's body. To his surprise, the latter insists on sharing their body like before.

Elsewhere, Sajo Yung's (Hwang Hee) wrath intensifies as he tries to come up with new ways to take over the throne.

Yeon Wol Leaves Her Assassin Life

Yeon Wol returns to the assassin group she belongs to. She also visits his father's grave and cries her heart out.

Her leader Yang Jae Yi (Kim Dong Won) reveals that he doesn't want to serve the royal family anymore, putting an end to their long-term connection.

Yeon Wol then sends a letter to the palace to try and get a hold of the king. Danger looms over the town as kidnappings of women become rampant.

It turns out that this is Sajo Yung's doing, selling women he kidnapped to all over the country. After learning about this, Sajo Hyun, Yeon Wol and the assassin group head to the port.

Sajo Hyun & Yeon Wol Reunite

A duel takes place and Yeon Wol succeeds in taking down Hwang Ga Ron (Min Seon Hong), the fourth prince of Jinhui. They free the prisoners but later on, the port is engulfed in flames due to the fiery arrows fired by Sajo Yung's men.

Sajo Hyun, who thinks that Yeon Wol is trapped in the fire pit, runs into the port. He blames himself when he doesn't retrieve her body.

To his surprise, Yeon Wol survives. She approaches him and the two wrap each other in a warm embrace, creating a tearful reunion as they rekindle their romance.
