Im Soo Hyang is gearing up for her K-drama comeback this 2024 as media outlets announced that she will headline the upcoming series "Beauty and the Devoted" (working title).
KBS confirmed on February 1, that they are preparing for another exciting weekend series starring Im Soo Hyang. The actress will team up for the first time with award-winning actor Ji Hyun Woo.
"Beauty and the Devoted" is a romance drama that follows the love story of an actress who experiences a sudden shift in her glamorous career and a producing director who brings her back up through love.
Im Soo Hyang takes the role of top actress Park Do Ra, who overcame many hardships to build her filmography since she was young. She has been working for 15 years as an actress, and is also known as a public figure who took care of her family and the head of the household.

Ji Hyun Woo Named as Im Soo Hyang's Next Drama Leading Man
Following the success of his previous series "Young Lady and Gentleman," Ji Hyun Woo will meet the audience with a new character. He will portray the role of Go Pil Seung, who has ambitious dreams to succeed. Unashamed and strong-minded, Pil Seung doesn't mind doing anything for the sake of fulfilling his dream.
Love and dating were not on his priority list, but after becoming intertwined with Park Do Ra on the set of the drama that he is in charge of, he struggles to face confusing situations every time he's with her.
After bagging the Grand Prize at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards for "Young Lady and Gentleman," viewers are highly anticipating Ji Hyun Woo's on-screen transformation.
"Beauty and the Devoted" is a new project to be penned by "Young Lady and Gentleman" writer and will join forces with director Hong Suk Gu, who was the creative mind behind the series "Homemade Love Story," "Girls' Generation 1979," and "My Only One."
It has been said that the production will begin in earnest to release the drama sometime this 2024.
