On the fourth episode of the cable channel tvN's entertainment program, "Noonas Over Flowers," the second season of producer Na Young Suk's backpack trip project, which aired on December 20, 2013, actress Lee Mi Yeon complimented Moon Geun Young and Kim Bum's relationship upon hearing the news that the two are going out and that they are backpacking in Europe together.

Lee Mi Yeon said, "That's great," adding that, "I like Geun Young a lot. When I was filming 'Empress Myeonseong,' Geun Young played the child actress of my character. I think what is important in a lot of actors is their eyes. That little girl had really pretty eyes. When actors and actresses start working at a young age, they have the risk of living in the boundary of other people's eyes or seeking the popularity (more than their own happiness), but I do not think Geun Young is like that," complimenting her.

Lee Mi Yeon then said, "I heard from my manager that Bum is a really good guy, who likes to drink," making the audiences laugh. Lee Mi Yeon added, "The two are great. I want to bless their relationship."
