'Flex X Cop' Rating: K-Drama Sees Major Boost In Viewership
Based on the 2015 Russian series "Silver Spoon," the story depicts the life of a third-generation chaebol heir Jin Yi Soo, played by Ahn Bo Hyun. Due to the unexpected incident, he becomes a detective and joins Lee Kang Hyun's (Park Ji Hyun) crime investigation team.
A few weeks since the show aired its pilot episode, "Flex X Cop" has shown major improvement in viewership. Joining the rating race, Ahn Bo Hyun's drama jumped to an average nationwide rating of 9.9 percent, as recorded by Nielsen Korea.
Marking an all-time high, Episode 7 garnered an impressive increase of 3.7 percent from its previous episode.
Meanwhile, viewers can watch the latest episodes through SBS, while the global audience can stream it via Disney Plus.
'Flex X Cop' Episode 7 Recap: Jin Yi Soo Haunted By His Past
"Flex X Cop" Episode 7 began with Lee Kang Hyun's team arriving at the crime scene. Jin Yi Soo was able to recognize the deceased, said to be SW SOFTCEO Choi Seonu.
Starting their investigation with Seonu's wife, they found out that someone was trying to kill him and was instructed by her husband to run away.
As the probe began, the team was also looking into the death of the prominent IT company CEO and the mysterious case behind it. They didn't believe that it was suicide, given that the cause of death was dehydration.
The investigation led them to business partner Cho Sung Gu, who charged the CEO with embezzlement.

As they dug into the case, Jin Yoo Soo was reunited with his ex-girlfriend Hong Eun Ah, but they found out that she was not a key player in the case.
Amid the investigation, detective Lee received a phone call from her parents, telling her that a reporter came by Jin Yi Soo's house and asked about the family who used to live there for 25 years.
To make things more odd, Kang Hyun's father was the one who handled the case.
It turned out that the woman who lived at the house was also Jin Yi Soo's mother, who died of drowning and was ruled to have committed suicide. She didn't know what to say to Jin Yi Soo, but she now understood where he was coming from.
