After eight long weeks, Park Ji Hoon and Hong Ye Ji's period piece "Love Song For Illusion" successfully wrapped up its season.

The drama that spanned over 16 episodes captured the viewers. It also saw a slight rise in viewership scores, proving its success. 

'Love Song For Illusion' Successfully Wraps Season Finale

On February 27, the historical romance drama "Love Song For Illusion" finally concluded after eight amazing weeks of broadcast.

The show starred Park Ji Hoon and Hong Ye Ji, who captivated the public with their flawless performance and chemistry, and followed the story of a crown prince with a conflicting personality and a woman who falls for him despite it all.

It spanned for 16 episodes, each run leaving the viewers at the edge of their seats and wanting for more. The finale satisfied the expectations of the audiences, raking in an average rating of 2.3%.

While it's not much, the recorded rating allowed the show to rise from its 1% slump from its previous episodes. Much to the fans' delight, "Love Song For Illusion" ended on a positive note.

'Love Song For Illusion' Finale Recap

After beheading the palace traitor Sajo Yung (Hwang Hee), Sajo Hyun (Park Ji Hoon) is able to claim his throne and rule his kingdom by his principles.

Yeon Wol (Hong Ye Ji) also recovers from the poison, thanks to Sajo Hyun and the palace doctors' help. Sadly, Ak Hee, Sajo Hyun's alter ego, bids his goodbye.

Due to the chaos he brought and the pain he inflicted on Sajo Hyun and Yeon Wol, he expresses his remorse by vanishing. He gave his blessings to the couple despite his heartache.

At the end of the episode, Sajo Hyun and Yeon Wol exchanged vows, and promised to love each other for the rest of their lives.
