‘Captivating the King’ Episode 16: Will Shin Se Kyung Reunite With Jo Jung Suk?

The long wait is finally over as tvN finally released the historical romance series "Captivating the King" finale!

In episode 16, a happy ending is expected to satisfy its fans. To recall, Jo Jung Suk is in a dilemma whether to keep Shin Se Kyung by his side or send her to Beijing to keep his peace.

What happened in the final episode of "Captivating the King"?

'Captivating the King' Episode 16: Lee In Sends Kang Hee Soo To Qing Dynasty

Lee In (Jo Jung Suk) stops the queen from exploiting Kang Mong Woo (Shin Se Kyung) by sending her to Beijing with the Qing so there will be peace between their dynasties.

However, it's Kang Hee Soo who asks to be sent to Beijing, and become the king's Go playmate. She then assures Lee In that she will return safe and sound.

With this, Lee In approves. Kang Hee Soo bids goodbye to the people she loves. Later that night, she visits the king while dressed as a woman, and spends the night as a couple.

The two share their love with one another. Unbeknownst to them, the criminals that Lee In put to accompany Kang Hee Soo are now running away to avenge themselves from their enemies.

Lee In Longs For Kang Hee Soo's Return

After Kang Hee Soo leaves for Beijing, Lee In closes his Go game place and focuses on the palace and its people. Kang Hee Soo returns to the Joseon dynasty after nine long months.

Kim Myung Ha (Lee Shin Young) meets his best friend without notifying the king as Kang Hee Soo requested. Later that day, she sees Lee In at the game place with a Go table.

Kang Hee Soo feels extremely elated after learning that Lee In has been waiting for her safe return. It is revealed that Kim Myung Ha had told Lee In about her, creating a warm atmosphere.

Kang Hee Soo Reunites With Lee In

At the end of the episode, Lee In and Kang Hee Soo play a game of Go after a long while, and soon share a soft, sweet kiss which expresses their longing for one another.

Lee In finally wins against Kang Hee Soo, and also finally learns about her real name. The two are overwhelmed with joy, and vow to be together for each other forever.
