Lee Jae Wook takes on the role of Han Tae Oh, the son of a murderer who had to leave his life to start over. In a small town, he meets the illegitimate son of a wealthy CEO, Kang In Ha (Lee Jun Young).

As the story progresses, viewers get to see the duo's chemistry with Na Hye Won (Hong Su Zu).

Like Han Tae Oh, she also suffers from an unfortunate life because of her parents.

The 12-episode series features how the trio joins forces as they attempt to take over the Kangoh group.

'The Impossible Heir' Episode 1: Han Tae Oh & Kang In Na Form An Unlikely Friendship

"The Impossible Heir" Episode 1 began with an eerie scene, featuring Han Tae Oh, who found himself inside a room holding the murder weapon. With bloodied hands, he was stunned to see two lifeless victims lying on the floor.

The scene was cut with Tae Oh moving into a small rural town. He told his landlord that it was the hometown of his mother, but he refused to give further details about it.

As he started his life, Han Tae Oh got bullied at school for being the new guy.

"The Impossible Heir" Episode 1 also illustrated what Han Tae Oh had been dealing with. At a young age, he witnessed his father beat his mother in front of him. This is also the reason his heart is filled with rage, and he wants to be successful in the future.

Following an incident at school involving Tae Oh and Kang In Ha, the duo decided to stick together as partners instead of friends. Han Tae Oh explained that it was better that way because they both needed something from one another.

He promised to help him reach the top of the social ladder, while Tae Oh would help him get connections and land a stable job.

After high school, Tae Oh began working odd jobs to support his needs and school. He tutored math and also worked in construction.

In one scene, Han Tae Oh utilized his strategic skills and was offered by his professor to buy the proposal focusing on the Kang Oh group's "Co-prosperity Cooperation Centre" because he saw some potential in acquisitions and investments for startup sectors.

However, Tae Oh politely turned down the offer. He and Kang In Ha agreed that they would use it in the future.

One of the significant aspects of "The Impossible Heir" Episode 1 was Na Hye Won's connection with Han Tae Oh.

Because they were neighbors and in the same school, Na Hye Won would often notice Tae Oh, but he was hesitant to greet her or was just too focused on his plan with In Ha.

Tae Oh also found out that Hye Won was In Ha's half-sister, whom he had feelings for.

Will this affect the duo's friendship?
