KBS released a surprising update regarding Lee Young Ae's upcoming talk show.
Back in February 2024, a representative from the broadcast network confirmed the news regarding the show that is set to be released as a follow-up program to "The Seasons: Lee Hyori's Red Carpet."

At the time, an official shared that they were "currently discussing the planning stage, and it has yet to be confirmed."

In addition to this, KBS clarified that the possible program is "not a follow-up to 'The Seasons: Lee Hyori's Red Carpet.'"
With the news regarding Lee Young Ae's return to the small screen, not to mention her first program as a talk show host, fans expressed their excitement to see the top star in a different light.

However, it seemed like fans needed to wait a bit longer after the network dropped an update regarding the broadcast.
In a report, a KBS official shared that despite the "production team having several in-depth discussions with Lee Young Ae regarding the launch of a talk show, it was ultimately canceled.
The reason behind it is the "difficulties in scheduling and composition."
What's Next for Lee Young Ae?
Best known for her role as Dae Jang Geum in the iconic K-drama "Jewel in the Palace," the top star made a successful return to the small screen in 2021 through her K-drama comeback, "Inspector Koo."

Lee Young Ae then returned in the 2023 thriller mystery series "Maestra: Strings of Truth."
From being a quirky detective in "Inspector Koo," the South Korean top star transforms into a fearless and world-renowned conductor named Cha Se Eum.

Interestingly, despite the cancellation of her upcoming talk show, Lee Young Ae is set to portray an exciting character.
After 20 years, the top star will be reprising her role as Dae Jang Geum.
Per reports, her agency, Fantagio, announced that the iconic K-drama "Jewel in the Palace" is set to be released in theaters.
On top of it, officials are "gearing up to start filming in October."
As for the top star, the representative shared that they have "wrapped up signing the contract with the drama script writer" and with Lee Young Ae as the lead star.
The upcoming movie "Uinyeo Dae Jang Geum" will focus on Jang Geum's life story as the female physician, or "uniyeo."
In addition, Lee Young Ae's upcoming movie is planned to be released in early 2025.
Interestingly, ""Uinyeo Dae Jang Geum" will be the actress' return to the big screen after 6 years since she appeared in the 2019 "Bring Me Home."
