'Romantic Anonymous' To Have Drama Adaptation

On March 12, media insiders announced that Han Hyo Joo is confirmed to join forces with Japanese actor Shun Oguri in the romantic-comedy drama "Romantic Anonymous." In addition, the production will start filming in Japan beginning this March.

"Romantic Anonymous" is based on the 2010 French-Belgian movie of the same name directed by Jean-Pierre Ameris. It will feature the story of a chocolatier who is overly timid but has genius skills and gets a job at a small chocolate shop.

The upcoming drama adaptation will be helmed by Japanese director Sho Tsukikawa, the man behind the movie "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas," which received love from Koreans.

Han Hyo Joo will play the character of a person who is socially phobic but has a genius talent for chocolate confectionery.

Shun Oguri, on the other hand, is the owner of the store where Han Hyo Joo works, and he is also the type of person who gets overly nervous about small things.

Han Hyo Joo and Oguri Shun's collaboration is expected to attract considerable attention in Korea and Japan.

The actress who showed unconventional transformations in her works through Disney Plus' "Moving" and Netflix's "Believer 2" has already appeared in Japanese films such as "Clumsy, But Love" and "The Sun Doesn't Move."

In addition to her work experience working in Japanese works, Han Hyo Joo's first romantic-comedy drama in a long time is expected to captivate not only Korean but also Japanese viewers.
