'Lovely Runner' Update: Kim Hye Yoon Introduces Her Multifaceted Role

Penned by "True Beauty" writer Lee Si Eun, tvN's soon-to-release series "Lovely Runner" gives more spoilers on what to anticipate in the drama and its main protagonist, Kim Hye Yoon.

Based on a popular novel, this time-slip romance drama adaptation will feature the story of a passionate fangirl, who travels back in time to change her favorite star's destiny. 

Kim Hye Yoon is Im Sol, a dedicated fan who is devastated by the death of her idol Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok). Due to an unexpected turn of fate, she goes back in time to save him. 

Known for her flexible acting, Kim Hye Yoon will once again capture the viewers' emotions with her diverse acting in this work.

In the drama, she will gracefully plays the multifaceted nature of her character Im Sol, transitioning seamlessly from a dedicated 34-year-old fan in 2023 to a 19-year-old student determined to rewrite Ryu Sun Jae's tragic life in 2008.

Kim Hye Yoon's Screen Comeback Garners Anticipation 

The stills offer a glimpse into Im Sol's fangirling world. The first photo captures her smile that doesn't fade as she fangirls in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, in the next snap, she appears visibly terrified, different from her usual bright energy.

In the remaining stills, Im Sol is finally back in 2008 and exudes a youthful charm, while clad in a school uniform hinting at her innocence, yet her serious gaze is shown, exhibiting a maturity beyond her years, reflective of her mindset as a thirty-year-old person on the inside. 

Through tvN's "Lovely Runner," Kim Hye Yoon will make her highly-anticipated comeback to the small screen after almost three years. Her return is expected to captivate the audience with her versatile acting skills in portraying a dual role. 

Viewers are also looking forward to watching her chemistry with rising actor Byeon Woo Seok.

Catch them in "Lovely Runner," which is set to debut this April 8 at 8:50 p.m.(KST) and will have a regular broadcast every Monday and Tuesday.
